Your files stay on your device. File2Any does not upload, store, or inspect the files you process with the tools on this site.
File Processing
Conversion, compression, and transformation happen inside your browser using client-side JavaScript, WebAssembly, and web workers where needed. Your file contents are not transmitted to our servers.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect file contents, file names, file metadata, extracted text from your files, or derived conversion output.
Analytics
File2Any uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site, which tools are popular, and where the experience can be improved. Analytics collects standard usage data such as pages visited, time on page, scroll depth, outbound clicks, file downloads, and general device and browser information. Google Analytics does not have access to the files you process. We use Google Consent Mode v2, which means analytics cookies are only set after you grant consent through the cookie banner. If you decline, Google Analytics sends cookieless pings with limited, non-identifying data. You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Advertising
File2Any displays ads served by Google AdSense and potentially other third-party advertising networks. These vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your browsing history. No file content you process with File2Any is ever shared with advertisers or used for ad targeting.
Cookies and Local Storage
File2Any uses Google Consent Mode v2 to manage cookie consent. When you first visit, all analytics and advertising cookies are denied by default. A consent banner lets you accept or reject cookies. Your choice is stored in your browser's localStorage and restored on future visits. If you accept, Google Analytics and advertising cookies may be set. If you reject, no tracking cookies are placed, though cookieless pings with limited data may still be sent to Google. Some tools may also store non-sensitive browser preferences (such as preferred output format or quality setting) in localStorage. Preference data never leaves your device.
Opting Out of Personalized Advertising

Third-Party Services
The site loads typography from Google Fonts. Those font requests go directly from your browser to Google and do not include any file content you process with File2Any. The site is hosted on a static hosting provider that may log standard web server access data (IP address, browser type, page requested). We do not control or access those logs. Google Analytics and third-party ad networks serving ads on this site may also collect browsing data through their own cookies and tracking technologies.
Open-Source Libraries
File2Any uses open-source libraries (such as pdf-lib, sharp, and others) that run entirely in your browser. These libraries do not make network requests or transmit data externally.
Data Retention
Files are processed in memory and released by the browser when you close the tab, refresh the page, or clear the tool state. Nothing is written to disk unless you explicitly download an output file. We retain no file data because we never receive it. Google Analytics data is retained according to Google's standard retention policies.
Your Rights
Because File2Any does not collect personal data through its tools, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete regarding file processing. For analytics data, you can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or by rejecting cookies through the consent banner. For advertising-related data collected by third-party vendors, please use the opt-out links described in the "Opting Out of Personalized Advertising" section above. Children's Privacy
Our service is available to users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Third-party advertisers and analytics providers are required to comply with applicable laws regarding children's privacy.
